This policy explains what personal data we collect through otro.digital, why, who helps us process it, and how you can see, correct or delete it. We keep it short and specific to what this site actually does.

Who is responsible for your data

OTRO Digital is responsible for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, write to hello@otro.digital.

What we collect

What you give us.

  • Contact form: your name, email, company (optional) and message.
  • Competitor snapshot form: your name, email, company (optional), your website, up to two competitor websites and an optional message.
  • Newsletter, when it’s available: your email address.
  • Anything you send us by email, WhatsApp or phone.

When you send a form, it also includes the first page you visited on our site in that visit, so we know how you found us.

What’s collected automatically. Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the site that referred you. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.

What stays in your browser. Your language preference, a record of the first page of your visit (kept for 30 minutes), whether you’ve subscribed to the newsletter, and the answers you enter in our free tools are stored in your own browser. We don’t receive them, except the first-page record when you send a form.

We don’t ask for sensitive data, such as health, financial or biometric information. Please don’t include it in a form.

Why we use it

We use your data to:

  • reply to your inquiry and send you the plan, quote or snapshot you asked for;
  • provide the services you hire us for;
  • send you the newsletter, if you subscribed;
  • keep the records we need to run the business and meet legal obligations.

We also use analytics data to understand how the site is used and improve it. That use isn’t needed to answer you, and you can opt out at any time (see “Cookies and analytics” below).

We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t use it for automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of providers, who process data on our behalf:

If you become a client, we share what’s needed to deliver your work with the partner centers and specialists we select and manage, under confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.

Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries for as long as we need them to reply and follow up, and then for as long as our business and legal records require. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics property. Data stored in your browser stays there until you clear it.

Your rights

You can ask to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to a particular use of it. You can also withdraw consent you’ve given, for example by unsubscribing from the newsletter with the link in any email.

To make a request, email hello@otro.digital with your name, what you’re asking for and how we can reach you. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on it. We’ll reply within the time the applicable law requires.

If you’re in Mexico, these are your ARCO rights under the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, and the Spanish version of this policy is our aviso de privacidad.

Cookies and analytics

We don’t set our own cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart and measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on to stop Google Analytics on every site.

The site also uses your browser’s local storage for the items listed above. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Security

We limit who can see personal data, use providers with their own security programs, and send forms over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is for businesses. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We’ll post any change on this page and update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you’ve already given us, we’ll tell you by email where we can.
