The Problem

Nobody buys a used excavator from a photograph.

Restored heavy machinery is a high-trust purchase made at a distance. A builder in Chihuahua is being asked to commit serious money to a Caterpillar excavator or a John Deere tractor they cannot walk around, start up, or listen to. The default assumption is that anything described as "restored" has been cleaned rather than repaired.

Mechanova genuinely strips machines down. The problem was that the website said "restored" in the same tone as every other listing site.

What We Built

A site where the restoration process is the product.

Rather than leading with inventory, the page leads with what happens to a machine after it arrives: the engine, cooling and transmission come out of the unit, and six systems are reviewed one at a time with the wear visible. "Nada se restaura a ciegas" — nothing is restored blind. That claim is the whole sales argument, so it gets the space usually given to a hero carousel.

The catalogue then splits cleanly into heavy and agricultural lines, because those are two different buyers who share almost no vocabulary.

Technical Implementation

Astro with TypeScript, built Spanish-first rather than translated into Spanish — the copy carries the register of the trade, not the register of a translation. Scroll-driven sequences walk through the restoration stages in order, so the process reads as a sequence rather than a list of claims.

Enquiries route to WhatsApp, which is where machinery negotiation in Mexico actually happens; Google Analytics 4 tracks the path from catalogue to quote.

Note

The results above are delivered capabilities, verifiable from the running site. If you have real enquiry-volume or conversion numbers from the client, they belong here instead — I have not invented any.
